Got a recorded call telling me my internet use was against the law and to press 1 to be connected to some BT department. From what I found here, this number is linked to Virgin Media Limited. Pretty sure Virgin Media wouldn’t be sending calls like this or using their lines for scams. Feels like a fraud attempt, maybe using VOIP and faking the number. Best advice: just hang up or don’t pick up at all.
