Said they were ringing me from EE, but the call dropped abruptly.

I received a call from a fella who said he represented all the mobile providers. He was trying to entice me with a 40% discount and some sort of VIP status, all because I’ve been diligent with my phone bill payments. However, when I refused to divulge any details, he promptly disconnected. Very dodgy, if you ask me!

Avoid answering these fraudulent calls; it's best to let them ring out!

They didn’t pick up when I rang, and it claims to be a number from Shrewsbury, so I’m guessing it’s probably a scam.

This number has rang me quite a few times but I never picked up since I didn’t recognise it. When I tried to return the call, it just ended straight away. I've decided to block it now.

As soon as I picked up, the caller just ended the call. After reading through the comments here, I've decided to block the number so I don't keep getting bothered.

I'm baffled as to how they managed to obtain my number since I'm ex-directory and my wife usually manages it. Quite peculiar, really! I've never come across "Wem" before, though I do know Wembley quite well. 😂🤣 Anyway, time to hit that BLOCK button!

I just had a phone call from +44 1939 834829, which appears to be from Wem. I opted not to pick up, so I’m left in the dark about the purpose of the call. My instincts tell me it’s probably a scam or a random sales pitch. To be honest, I’ve never even come across the name Wem before, so I’m rather baffled about its location!

Said they were from Reed recruitment but ended the call as soon as I started asking questions.

Watch out for recruitment scams! They promise fantastic pay, flexible schedules, and working from home. They ask for a super detailed CV with loads of personal info. Once you send it, they say you’re hired and will give you software to install. Then comes the request for your National Insurance and bank info so they can supposedly pay you. Be careful and don’t fall for it! If you spot these scams, make sure to report them. Some info about this kind of fraud is already shared here.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from an internet company, sounded like a total scam to me.

Someone just called me claiming to be Laura from Vodafone. Sounded a bit off, not sure if it was legit or just another scammer trying to get info. Pretty annoying how they keep pretending to be big companies. Can't be too careful nowadays!
