They just stay silent and then abruptly end the call. Sounds like a dodgy scam to me.

01939 834213 rang me on my mobile and the number popped up as Shrewsbury. The bloke had a strong Asian accent, claiming to be ringing about some mobile phone deal. When I pressed him, he said he was calling from Bracknell, Berkshire, and the firm’s called Homephone. He also mentioned working with every provider to get hold of my number. I kept him chatting for a good three minutes before telling him to find himself a real job.
