Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, telling me I had to upgrade my SIM to keep my phone working. They wanted to post me a new one. When I said I'd pop into the local O2 store to sort it out in person, they suddenly got quite irate. Lucky for me, I’m on an eSIM, so I knew straight away it was a con.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2. When I told them I’ve never used O2, they just hung up straight away. Totally sounds like a scam to me.

Got a call saying it was from Virgin O2, telling me my phone line would be disconnected unless I upgraded my phone. I told them I’m actually with EE and they tried to say O2 is under EE now or something. I ended the call, but then another call came through from someone claiming to be from EE who confirmed it’s a scam because O2 isn’t part of EE anymore. I’ve blocked and reported the number right away.
