I mentioned that I’m employed at a firm and they’d handle the problems, so they ended the call. But now they keep ringing constantly and cutting off just a couple of seconds after I pick up.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, the connection was really poor. She claimed to be from BT and said they were receiving alerts from my router about technical issues. I do use BT, but it sounded like a total scam to me. I told her that and ended the call straight away.

01939000999 rang me and some foreign bloke said they noticed unusual activity on my internet, like someone else might be using it. They asked me to get on my PC so they could somehow prove it and help me find out who it was. I told him how daft he must think I am and that it was a scam, but he kept pushing. I just ended the call.

The call came through on a really scratchy line with someone speaking really poor English. They said they were from British Telecom and talked about my router. The moment I told them I’m not a BT customer, they just cut me off straight away!
