I got a call earlier today at around 13:40 from 01938524985, which I recognise as a landline in Welshpool, Powys, my home area. The caller claimed there had been two suspicious transactions on my current account-£300 from Amazon and £1,000 from eBay. They instructed me to press 1 if I wanted to cancel the call or 2 to reach out to my bank directly. It felt rather dodgy, so I took a moment to check my HSBC app, and fortunately, there are no such transactions listed on my account. Just a heads up to everyone, this seems like your typical phishing scam!
