I got a call from a bloke named Joseph claiming he was from British Telecom (surprise, surprise) saying I’d get 35% off my phone bill plus three months’ free line rental. All he wanted was my bank details. When I burst out laughing, he sounded all offended and begged me not to laugh, which made me laugh even harder. In the end, he hung up, clearly upset that I wasn’t falling for his obvious scam. Number’s blocked now.
