Someone rang asking for my missus by name claiming to be Surrey police and said they were doing some kind of survey about how happy people are. Cops wouldn’t be doing surveys like that so I told them no thanks and put the phone down. Blocked the number straight away.

Didn’t pick up and no voicemail was left either. Normally, I switch off my landline early morning to avoid these nuisance calls, but I forgot last night. Pretty sure they’ve been ringing for some time. Calling all the way from Wetherby to East Sussex? It’s quite irritating, especially after seeing what others have said - are they pretending to be the Cheshire Police or what?

Got a call from a posh sounding lady saying she was doing a survey for Cheshire Police about my lad’s age group and asked for his name. I told her he doesn’t live here any more and she then asked if I knew anyone in that age bracket they could reach instead. When I said no, she wanted to know how old I was, so I just said I was tied up and ended the call. After seeing what others have said, I’m definitely blocking the number now. What the heck do they want anyway?

Been getting calls from this number loads the last few days. A bloke claimed he was ringing for surrey police and surrey county council. Told him I was too busy to chat and quickly ended it. Proper irritating now. Also getting calls from other 019 numbers, like 01914 254610 (some utility company, not utility warehouse) and 01925 394669 (offering washing machine insurance, not d&g). From now on, I’m just ignoring any caller with 019 area codes.
