On 30/4/26, I got a call from someone with the Labour party, asking if I could help out with their campaign for the local elections happening on May 7th.

My phone just got a quiet ring, no one said a word when I answered.

Got called by someone saying they were from O2, but weirdly, they never bothered to leave a voice message. Definitely felt like a scam.

Got two calls back to back from someone saying they were from O2, but I don’t even have an account with them. They asked me if I pay my bill to O2, but I wouldn’t say yes or no. Then the woman just told me to shut up, said it a few times, and then ended the call. She rang again shortly after wanting to keep chatting about it, and when I reminded her she told me to shut up, she just laughed and hung up. Proper rude!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Labour party, and they were asking who I’d voted for, which felt pretty strange. When I said I needed to look into whether they were allowed to ask that kind of question on the phone, the person responded with something like, "if that’s how it’s going to be, we’ll end it here," and then just put the phone down. The number seemed real enough, but the caller was really rude. Honestly, ringing people who’ve already said they don’t want to be contacted feels like harassment to me.

I called the Labour Party to share some of my frustrations, but if they’re not keen on what you’re saying, they just hang up on you. Quite off-putting really.

It's not just some random ring, it’s usually if you started filling out a Labour membership form but didn’t actually send it off or anything.

Hey everyone, I got really nervous thinking 01937 227306 might be a dodgy number. Decided to ring up the Labour Party's official help line just to check, and they said that number does belong to them. So no need to freak out, it’s all good!

A woman rang me saying she was from the Labour Party. She asked for loads of personal info and told me she’d make a new form. She said her name was Michelle and her birthday was the 19th of July. I’m quite worried this might be a scam or possibly someone hacking Labour’s site. I think I need to tell the police about it.

Strange thing happened today, got a call asking me which polling station I’d be working at on election day. I’d already confirmed my spot with the local Labour Party organiser, so not sure why they needed to ask again.

Lately, I’ve been getting calls from this number every day. Whenever I answer, no one speaks but I can hear what seems like a call centre buzzing in the background.

This number keeps ringing me at odd hours, specifically just past midnight, and it’s always from Australia. I suspect it’s a nuisance caller attempting to peddle their wares. Definitely feels like a scammer to me!

So, I got calls from this number twice - once on Saturday 15th June and then again today, Sunday 16th. Didn’t pick up either time cos I’ve no idea who they are, and I don’t know anyone from Wetherby. The fact they bothered ringing back the very next day, and both times at the weekend, makes me pretty sure it’s one of those spam calls. I’ve got my number on the TPS list, so they really shouldn’t be calling.
