I just got a recorded message saying €600 had been charged to my credit card, which isn’t right at all.

Got a recorded message saying someone had charged £600 to our card, and if it wasn’t us we should press 1. We just hung up straight away. I dialled 1471 to see who it was, and ended up with this number. Then I redialled putting 141 before it to hide my ID, and spoke to an elderly lady. She told me she’d already had six calls that morning from others who heard the same message. Sounds like she was probably just an innocent person whose number got compromised, but it’s hard to tell for sure.
