July 16th, around 10.35 in the morning, I got an automated call supposedly from Mastercard or Visa. The voice warned me about a dodgy £600 purchase made abroad lately and told me to press numbers for more info. Total scam, don’t press any buttons - they just want to hook you into a pricey phone line and fleece you. I rang my bank to check, and they told me this has been going on for about a month now, always involving £600 transactions.
