5 monthsOver just a couple of days, I received half a dozen calls from people saying they were with 118, asking for my personal info. Pretty annoying!1 yearPicked up the phone but there was complete silence on the other side. Left it connected for about half a minute and still didn’t hear a thing. Decided to just end the call.3 yearsI reckon it’s yet another spam call. They dropped the line as soon as I picked up. How typical!3 yearsI didn’t answer at first but rang them back later. Turns out it was the tiny garage down the road, they’ve just switched their business name. They wanted to check if my email was still right, reading out the one they had on file. It all seemed pretty normal, just a quick confirmation call about my details.3 yearsI missed the call 'cos I was tied up, but a bloke called Luke (he claimed) left a voicemail. He spoke with a Scouse accent and mentioned something about the new GDPR regulations - data protection stuff, he said. He wanted me to ring back, and since the number had my local area code, I gave it a go. All I got was dead air though. Sounds dodgy to me, like they were maybe fishing for my info or it could even be a sneaky premium rate line. I'm defo gonna keep an eye on my BT bill once it refreshes in a few hours!Luke3 yearsWhen I picked up the phone for this number, all I got was complete silence-an empty line, as if I was speaking to thin air. Clearly, no one was inclined to have a chat with me. What a load of nonsense!3 yearsIt was weird how quiet it got, and honestly, I had no clue what to say next.3 yearsFrom now on, I'm definately going to be more careful, just to be on the safe side.Submit Your Own Report (01935 388895)
