Someone called me trying to sell a washing machine insurance plan.

They called me up and already knew my name, then started asking about my washing machine. Said they weren't trying to sell me anything, just doing a quick survey. Yeah, right!

Some bloke started asking me all these questions and then had the nerve to call me a liar. When I tried phoning him back, I couldn’t get through at all - all I got was a message saying the line was being monitored by TalkTalk. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

In the past couple of days, I've had about six calls from this number. I tried ringing back, and TalkTalk said they'd looked into it. Then, the number called me again, and when I picked up, the bloke just hung up straight away. It's getting really frustrating now.

Picked up the phone and no one was on the other end, then it just cut off! It’s really annoying, especially when I’m expecting some important calls. Today alone, I've had loads of calls from all sorts of numbers. Not sure if it’s worth investing in a call blocker or some kind of service to stop these though!

I didn’t get any voicemail or anything. I rang the number back and it said something like “TalkTalk Call Safe are screening calls to this number, please say your name and then press the hash key.” Not sure if this is a proper number or not though, something about it feels off to me. Would really appreciate any thoughts or advice.
