Received a rather concerning call from what claimed to be my bank yesterday. It was one of those automated messages, stating that my credit card had been used for a hefty transaction. I was instructed to press 1 to confirm it was me or 2 if it wasn’t. I suspect those crooks are banking on you to select 2 so they can launch into their deceitful scheme. Best to just disregard the call entirely and add that number to your block list.

Got a voicemail saying it was from the bank, telling me a payment had gone through my Visa card in the last quarter of an hour and to press 1 if it wasn’t me. Obviously a dodgy attempt to steal my bank info.
