Just received a call from this number - they rang once and promptly cut off. It’s rather frustrating because I’ve already blocked them, yet they still manage to get through somehow!

I’ve gone ahead and blocked this number, yet it still manages to slip through the cracks. It rings fleetingly, just once, before it cuts off. This has happened twice already today, and they’ve been a nuisance before as well. Honestly, it’s starting to feel like a bit of a farcical situation! - caller: Unknown

They seemed to know who I was and insisted the call was about an accident that I've never been part of. When I informed them that I wasn't in any kind of accident, they just cut the line. The bloke had a Liverpool accent and was rather obnoxious, to say the least. Definitely feels like a scam, if you ask me!

Absolutely the same experience as many others here. It came from a local 01933 number, yet it was clearly a scam. When I picked up, they hung up straight away, but not before I heard some American-sounding voice proclaiming, "Your call is important." - caller: 01933806520

It appears to be a number designed to bypass call screening measures and avoid getting flagged with the Telephone Preference Service. It’s just as described previously, but this one’s specifically about solar panels. When they figured out I was serious about reporting them, they absolutely refused to provide any information. Caller: Solar panels.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with a Government Energy Survey firm, keen to discuss various grants. The call seemed to be from a call centre, given the ambient noise. The chap had a noticeable Asian accent and when I inquired about how he obtained my number, especially since I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, he replied that he had no idea. I picked up thinking it might be local, seeing the 01933 area code. I suspect it might well be a spoofed number designed to increase their chances of people answering. I've since decided to block the number.

I received a rather curious call today from someone claiming to be affiliated with a Government Energy Survey firm, asserting he had information about grants for renewable energy. The cacophony in the background hinted at a call-centre environment. The fellow had an Asian accent, and when I inquired how they obtained my number, especially since I’m on the TPS list, he responded with puzzling ignorance. I picked up the call as it seemed to originate from my local area (01933), but I suspect the number was cleverly disguised to increase the likelihood of answers. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I noticed a missed call from a local number, 01933, so I thought it was worth returning the call. However, as soon as I picked up and was met with an American voice insisting my call was crucial and that I would be connected to the next available agent, I decided to end the call. - Caller: 01933806520

They're purporting to fit solar panels but seem to be routing their calls to obscure their actual telephone number. Quite suspicious, isn't it? This definitely has all the hallmarks of a scam.
