I've been receiving calls recently that, when picked up, play a recorded message claiming to be from BT. It instructs me to press '1' to connect with them, threatening that my broadband will be cut off within a day if I don't act, supposedly because my IP address has been compromised. This all began shortly after I got a live call from a different number that started with 01933. The person on the line had a strong accent and hung up when I pushed back. For anyone who might fall for this, it seems entirely legitimate-but I can assure you it's a scam, no question about it.
