Got a dodgy call from some lot trying to give me back either £399 or £1000. They knew my name and address but then suddenly asked for my bank customer number to "confirm" stuff. It was definitely an Indian call centre, you could tell from the loud chatter and noise behind them. The bloke who first phoned me handed me over to a “supervisor” and then a "manager", all with proper English-sounding names but their accents were pure Indian. After about 10 minutes of this nonsense, they just cut me off. Such a sketchy setup.

They mentioned a £399 cheque along with some sort of voucher but insisted they required my bank details to activate it with a £1 deposit.
