It seems that Platinum supermarket is up to some dodgy telemarketing tricks, asking all sorts of questionable questions to pry out personal details. Just an hour after their initial call, I received another one claiming to be from a company about switching energy providers, U Benefit or something like that. The callers seemed rather unprofessional and were clearly part of an Indian call centre trying to pull a fast one. It's quite concerning, really!

I recently had a rather peculiar experience with a call from someone claiming to be from Platinum supermarket. They mentioned that they wanted to ask me three questions for their telemarketing efforts and sought permission to share my number with another company that helps with energy switching. I naively agreed to it! An hour later, I received another call from a firm identifying themselves as U Benefit, which is supposedly an energy comparison site. This time, they probed me about who handles my gas and electricity bills. They were quite interested in how I pay these bills-whether by card, cash, or some other method. It struck me as if they were attempting to fish for information, almost like a bait-and-switch, but I told them I was quite satisfied with my current providers. Honestly, they don’t seem to be the sharpest tools in the shed! Now I'm in the process of ringing them back, having successfully tracked down their numbers. What a farcical situation!

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was calling on behalf of "Platinum Supermarket" and wanted me to reply to a couple of questions. I’ve fallen for that before - once you start answering, they share your phone number with loads of other callers, and then you’re stuck with nonstop telemarketers. This time I just told her to buzz off.

Blimey, these lot are relentless, ringing me at least 4 times every single day. It’s really frustrating when you keep getting calls from unknown numbers. The best thing I’ve found is to have caller ID switched on and just ignore the ones you don’t recognise. If it’s really urgent, they’ll surely leave a message, so no need to stress!

This number has been ringing me non-stop last week - had like 4 calls just yesterday and already 3 today. I picked up the first one, but told them straightaway I wasn’t going to answer any questions, said thanks and hung up nicely. Ignored all the rest until today.
