Honestly, the quote they gave us was utterly ridiculous-definitely the worst I've encountered! They don't even give us a chance to speak before hanging up, so I've gone ahead and reported them to Ofcom for those silent calls. It’s just infuriating!

Received a call from them once and they hung up before we'd even had a chance to grab the phone! The second time around, they cut the line right after we said hello. It makes sense, though, as our bike insurance is coming up for renewal soon. However, after their rude behaviour, we certainly won’t be giving them our business - what a right pain! I've been a loyal customer of MCE for quite some time now, and I must say, they really do offer some excellent service. Don't be shy about negotiating, as you can often secure a cracking deal if you put your mind to it! But honestly, what’s the deal with these ridiculous phone calls we're inundated with lately? This number has been persistently calling us, but we’ve never managed to answer in time. I suspect it’s MCE since they’re our insurers. It seems when you pick up, the line goes dead; I reckon it’s due to them using some sort of automatic dialler. They probably have twenty or more lines going at once and once one of their staff gets a connection, they leave the rest hanging. So when you finally do answer, it’s just silence on the other end before they cut off. Quite frustrating, really!

The broker I'm hoping to work with is quite reputable. Absolutely, it's MCE insurance. It fits perfectly as my motorcycle is covered by them. They claim to be sanctioned by the FSA, but I reckon you can lodge a complaint not only with them but also with the Telephone Preference Service, provided you're signed up with them. Seems worth investigating. To be honest, one of my relatives was thinking of renewing her bike insurance through them, but that’s off the table now! Talk about a brilliant strategy for driving away clients!
