Totally agree with the previous post, they’re still calling from the same number as of 14/1/19.

I chose not to pick up, reckon it's just another call I’m not interested in.

Got a call from TalkTalk "tech support" the other day - total scam. Some bloke named John, obviously not from the UK, kept chatting rubbish trying to trick me into letting him access my PC. Just another dodgy attempt to get control of your computer, watch out!

Got a call early morning on 9th and 10th Jan 2019 around 8.15. I didn’t pick up cause it felt like one of those dodgy scam calls. After checking out this forum and seeing what others said, I’m pretty sure it’s not legit. I’m gonna mess with them a bit if they ring back, let them know my thoughts, then probably just block the number if it keeps happening.

They kept me waiting, then just cut off. What idiots.

Can’t find anyone when I checked the number, nothing came up.

Over the last two days, I've been getting loads of dodgy calls from numbers that look like they're all slightly different but follow the same format - something like 01xx3 2652xx. Seems like these scammers are switching up the number just a bit every day so the usual call blockers don’t catch them. For example, I got calls from 01763 265215, then 01933 265202, and the day before that 01683 265214. Really annoying having to keep blocking these cloned numbers.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be with TalkTalk, telling me to switch on me laptop 'cause the wifi needed fixing. Seemed like a right spam attempt if you ask me.

There was a pause and then the line just went dead after a click.

The number had a local area code which made me think it was genuine, but after I said hello a few times, suddenly the call disconnected.

It had the same area code as mine, so I figured it was someone I knew. But after I said hello a few times, the call just dropped out of nowhere.

i just let the answer machine pick up, after that the line went dead. honestly, the phone network here in the UK is properly failing. these days, anyone with a computer can fake any number, anywhere in the world, and bother people’s homes here. why is nobody doing anything about it?! all calls made through computers or voip systems should just be blocked completely.

I could really go for a whistle right now, seems like everyone needs one. These blokes don’t even stop to think before calling again! Ring ring, it never ends. I’m getting loads of calls every single day.
