Heads up - total scam alert! Got a call from someone saying they were from BT tech support about a broadband problem. The bloke sounded like he had an Indian accent and there was this background noise like a call centre, though it might have been fake. I asked him to tell me the name on the account, which any real employee would know, but he just dodged the question and said he was from tech support. Then I asked for the last four digits of my account number, expecting he’d know if he was legit, but he quickly switched the topic again. I just told him goodbye and ended the call.

The caller claimed to be from BT about my internet, but I knew it was a scam right away. I'm not even with BT! Told them to get lost, total scammers.

this bloke claimed he was from BT, saying he needed to check my router and boost my internet connection. when i said no, he started calling me daft for not pressing some random key and letter he told me to. i just stayed quiet and put the phone down without hanging up. definitely a scam, no real company talks to you like that. watch out!

Got a call from this number claiming to be from BT. The person told me to type in the “assoc” command on my computer so they could “check” some kind of PC ID - but the assoc command just gives the same code on all Windows machines anyway. They threatened that if I didn’t let them access my computer remotely, my internet would be cut off within 48 hours. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from a number with the Weybridge Surrey area code, it was only ringing twice before someone just hung up when I picked up. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.
