I get loads of calls from so called "Amazon account" people trying to trick me into paying something. But today I got a call from this guy who said he'd noticed I'd blocked him and wanted to chat about it. He spoke with a sort of Chinese accent and kept stumbling over what he was saying. When I started asking why he was calling, he just cut me off straight away.

Got a call from this number, but luckily I've got BT Call Guardian. They never said who they were, so the call didn’t get through. After seeing what others said about this number, I blocked it straight away. Even though I'm on the TPS and my number’s ex-directory, these annoying people just ignore all that.

Once they get access, they might plant malware or lock your system using Windows’ own SAM LOCK by changing your password, so you’re stuck. Their whole game is to get you to ring them up again and fork out money.

Got a call from 01932 844649, a bloke with an Asian accent who spoke really bad English. I couldn’t quite catch what he was trying to say at first. When I asked where he found my number since it’s meant to be private, he said he was from some sort of Help Centre for GPs and medical places. Apparently, they got a report that someone linked to my number had an accident. I just told him to piss off right away - seemed like a dodgy scam to me.
