Got a call from an overseas number earlier, but I didn’t answer it. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either.

So I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, said a gift card was bought under my name. The guy had a really heavy foreign accent and kept saying I’d accidentally clicked on a link while browsing online. I asked for some proof and they gave me what they said was an Amazon account number. Then I requested to talk to another person, and suddenly the line just went dead. Definitely felt dodgy.

A guy rang me up claiming he was from Amazon, sounded like he had a strong Indian accent. He said there was some charge on my account here in Scotland. I told him I don’t even have an Amazon account and then he just hung up on me.
