Best not to switch your computer on when they call, they'll probably grab all your info then.

Got calls six times in August from them. Sometimes it was dead silence, other times they asked to get into a Windows PC to fix stuff. Told em a few times I ain’t got a Windows computer, then they just ended the call.

Somebody with a strong accent called me up saying my Windows computer was full of errors and had to be fixed. I asked which one and they said the one I was using at home. I told them we have six computers here and accused them of trying to scam me. They replied, "How are we scamming you?" I said I don't even use Windows and that they’re just nasty scammers who take advantage of people, lying like crazy and thinking we're dumb. Windows don’t call folks up! Then she just hung up on me! Job done!

Got a call from this number earlier today. As soon as the guy said it was about our computer I had a bad feeling and told him we don’t have one. Then he just started being rude, telling me to get lost and called me crazy!!

Got a call from this number but no one said a word. Next time I might just blow a whistle right into the phone and ruin someone's hearing. To the person who said they almost fell for it, seriously, dont trust a single thing these cold callers say. They're just after your cash. No one can hack into your PC, it’s all a load of rubbish.

They ring me nonstop every day. Whenever I pick up, there’s nothing but silence. Honestly, feels like I’m being watched or somethin! Seriously, when will someone do something about these calls? We all know it’s just a scam, so no idea why they keep botherin. It's really getting on my nerves.

This number has been calling me loads. Initially, I told them I don’t own a computer. They called again yesterday, so I cheekily asked if they wanted my address and bank details, then told them where to stick it. Now they’re just calling and staying silent. And no, I defo didn’t share any bank info with them.

Said he was calling about my internet, told me I’d missed 22 urgent messages and they were gonna cut me off. Asked what was showing on my computer screen and all that. When my son answered, the bloke got proper nasty, threatening to come round to our place and “sort us out”! Total muppet.

Yesterday evening, I noticed I had missed a call from this number, and given the area code seemed quite familiar, I thought I’d give it a ring back today, but there was no response. Honestly, we seem to get an avalanche of these calls, despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service. It seems that these scammers are taking advantage of abandoned landline numbers. What baffles me is the uncanny similarity in their ridiculous scripts-could it be that they originate from just a handful of shady call centres? At least it does make them pretty obvious as scams. If I ever find a moment to indulge (which is rare), I like to disconnect my modem, string them along for a bit, and then dramatically declare that I’ve traced their IP address and pinpointed their exact location, warning them they should flee the premises immediately! Enjoy yourselves, everyone!

Got a call earlier from some young woman saying my computer’s got a problem and if I turned it on she’d show me the errors. I humoured her for a bit then told her I wasn’t switching it on ‘cause it’s a scam before blowing a loud whistle down the phone. This is the tenth time this month they’ve tried, and honestly, I’m well fed up with it now.

For the past few months, I’ve had loads of calls from this number, always silent and never leaving a voicemail if I don’t pick up. Got a call from 01932572222, a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He said my computer was seriously infected and about to be shut down by them. He kept calling me, trying to convince me it was legit, even said his name was Jeff Hunter. I almost fell for it and got to the screen connect page before I stopped. How’s this kinda thing allowed to happen?

I picked up a call from a chap claiming to be inquiring about my computer. When I informed him that I didn’t possess one, he accused me of being dishonest! This number keeps ringing our landline non stop for a few months. I think I’ll get a new phone that can block it properly. They called like six times just today and no one picked up.

This number rings all the time. Now, if I spot it on my caller ID, I just ignore the call. Whenever I do pick up, there’s no one on the other end, and if I don’t answer, there’s not even a voicemail. Looking at all the comments from others, shouldn’t there be a way to block this number?

I've had a couple of missed calls lately from some chaps claiming there are catastrophic issues with Microsoft software. Can you believe I actually had a lengthy chat with one of them? They went on and on, insisting that virtually ‘everyone in the nation' and even 'globally’-yes, including major organisations like government bodies, military systems, and nuclear facilities-are facing this dire crisis. It’s absolutely absurd! Do they really think we’re that gullible? Honestly, it’s laughable how far-fetched their claims are!

01932572222 rang me again earlier. I keep one of those carnival whistles beside the phone, and since I bet they’re using headphones, it’s brilliant knowing they get a good long blast right in their ear. LOVE IT. Then I just hang up straight after.

This week, our phone's been ringing off the hook, but every time I picked up, it was dead air. However, my husband answered today and spoke to a chap with a bit of an accent claiming he was from BT. After a rather drawn-out ten-minute spiel about some woman in Texas trying to access email accounts, I thought I’d better do some digging online. It didn’t take long to find a pile of alarming comments about this number. I warned my husband it was a scam and urged him to hang up. That’s when 'David Parker' got downright nasty, threatening my husband with some ridiculous ultimatum. My husband, not one to take nonsense, told him to shove off!

This is definitely a scam. The number has an Exeter area code, yet it appears to be a foreign call centre reaching out from overseas. They claim their office is at 14 Hanover Street in London. I've been plagued by this number ringing me incessantly. Most of the time, there's nothing but silence on the other end, but once, they had the audacity to threaten me with a computer shutdown, all because they thought I was being disrespectful. Well, that certainly escalated things, and I gave them a piece of my mind! Tried calling back, but of course, it went unanswered.

For the past few months, I've been bombarded with two or three of these nuisance calls every single day. Most times, I can't be bothered to pick up, but on the rare occasion that I do, I simply place the phone down and stroll off. They’re the ones racking up the costs, not me! It drives me bonkers. And the ones about my 'computer'? Oh, I play along for a good ten minutes, acting as if I’m just dying to hear what they have to say, and then casually mention that I haven’t a computer at all. It's the little victories, isn't it?

A bloke with an Indian accent rang me about some 'issue with my computer'. He claimed someone was trying to hack it and offered help. I said everything was alright and ended the call, but they kept ringing back loads of times, so I let them talk. When I corrected their mistakes (I'm an IT guy), they started getting rude. I warned them not to ring again or I'd report them to the cops. They said the police wouldn't bother, which unfortunately was the one honest thing they said. Best thing is to just ignore and hang up on them, they're only after something from you.

This bloke from India calling himself "Dave" rang my home phone when I wasn’t in and ended up chatting with my 15-year-old lad. Said we were old mates from Facebook and that we were meant to catch up today!! These sorts of calls are getting out of hand!

Got a call earlier from an Indian bloke, couldn't catch his name, said there was a problem with my computer, total nonsense as usual. I thought I'd mess about with him, but the moment I told him I was online, he just dropped the call. For anyone else, if these lot ring claiming they’re from Microsoft (which hardly ever happens) or a support outfit (more likely), just ask them which Windows version you’re using - they have no clue and it really winds them up :D

Got a call this morning from someone saying there was an issue with my computer. I asked which one as I’ve got about six, and he said all of them. Told him I’m not having problems with any, so why the call? He just snapped back, "SHUT UP AND GO AWAY." Really lovely folks these days, eh?

Got a call from 01932 572222, some guy with an Indian accent telling me my computer was having issues and to turn it on. I said yeah, hang on a sec, then I just left it and came back after a few minutes. I started making weird noises from one of those little sound gizmos I have and then just ended the call. Proper funny that!

This number is part of a voice phishing scam trying to get your PC ID so they can access your computer and take control of it. Please spread the word that these are scammer folks and warn anyone who might be at risk not to share any details and just hang up straight away.

Every time I block this number (01932 572222) that keeps ringing me, it switches to 04673891923. Seems like they’re masking their real number with a UK area code, so blocking doesn’t do anything. Proper irritating dealing with these nuisance calls.

Got a call from someone saying they needed to talk about my computer and something to do with Microsoft. I told him I didn’t own a computer and my baby was crying in the background. Then he started yelling, asking for a person who actually moved out almost a decade ago! When I said again that he wasn’t here, he snapped, “Oh just leave me alone” really rudely. Honestly, who does he think he is!!!

Ring my home phone on 10th August 2016 but no message left when answerphone picked up. I usually look up numbers like this to see if they’re worth calling back, but after seeing the comments i’m thinking it was probably some kind of scam or spam call.

It’s absolutely baffling, isn’t it? My poor elderly mum, who’s 90 and visually impaired, keeps getting bombarded with calls from these muppets. She answers every time, thinking it’s one of the family checking in on her, as she adores those chats. She’s on the Telephone Preference Service list, so I genuinely don’t understand why nothing seems to be done about these dodgy callers. What’s the point of having regulations in place if they’re ineffectual against these scoundrels?

No answer so I just ended the call, felt like a warning like dodgy folks trying to scam or scare you. The reviews here definitely back that up. Honestly, these lot should be getting caught.

This is the second occasion in just two days that I’ve received a call from these chaps. They’ve got heavy accents and use names that sound rather dodgy for native speakers. They insist there's an issue with my computer that requires me to turn it on so they can guide me through fixing it. The moment I didn’t play their game, they promptly hung up. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

They rang me pretending to be from Microsoft tech support, saying they needed to sort out my computer. Asked me to hit the Windows and R keys. Kept pestering about what was on my screen, so I said I was just watching YouTube. The lady got really rude and then just hung up. Absolute SCAM, don’t let anyone like that near your PC.

Got two silent calls in as many days. The first came just seconds after a caller told me the usual "our records show you were in an accident" line, so I reckon it was the same outfit. The voice sounded familiar too, like someone I’d spoken to before. I mentioned that to her and told her I’ve never been in an accident, not now either. On a side note - when folks ring up saying they can fix problems with my Windows, I usually say I’ve got them all boarded up, which seems to throw them off.

Got a call this morning from some scammer who woke me up, saying my computer had sent them an alert and asked if I could give them access. I told them I don’t own a computer and asked where they were calling from. They claimed to be from Microsoft and asked if I used an iPad or some tablet because apparently there was a windows issue putting my files in danger. I said we only use an iPad, and since it’s an Apple device, it doesn’t run Windows. Even though I was groggy, I didn’t fall for it. But I know plenty of people who might, these scammers really ought to be stopped.

I received a rather suspicious call from a gentleman claiming to represent Online Support Technologies on behalf of Microsoft, stating that they had detected issues with my computer. When I mentioned that I'd attempted to search for his company online and found nothing, he quickly adjusted his story, saying he was actually with Online Support Ltd. During our conversation, he introduced himself as Chris Gardner and asserted that he was familiar with the CLSID of my computer, attempting to guide me through the process of retrieving it so he could access it himself. Remarkably, he quoted me a hefty sum of £490 to sort out the alleged problems. I insisted that my computer was perfectly fine, yet he kept pressing to demonstrate the so-called errors. Eventually, he must have realised I wasn't falling for his ruse, and he abruptly terminated the call.

They keep ringing me up saying there’s an issue with my windows and that they need to get into my computer remotely. I told them I was in hospital, but he asked how that was possible since he was calling my landline. I said the calls were being forwarded. They spoke with foreign accents but had English names. Now they just call and stay silent!

EXTREMELY RUDE. He kept telling me to shut up! I ended the call and he rang me right back, threatening to have his mates ring me day and night for the rest of my life. I’ve had silent calls from this number for a few days now, but today was the first time someone actually spoke. Does anyone know what I can do about this?

Today alone, I've received three calls from this number, each time the line went dead when I answered. When I called back, I was met with an exceedingly rude and pushy gentleman. It's incredibly frustrating receiving these incessant calls-something really ought to be done to curb this behaviour!

It's high time someone took action against these nuisances! The individuals making these calls seem to be either total muppets or individuals desperate enough to be lured in by some unscrupulous scammers dangling the carrot of quick bucks. Am I being too harsh here? It feels as though the authorities are turning a blind eye, barely lifting a finger to shield us, the hardworking taxpayers, retirees, and decent folk, from this kind of harassment. We absolutely deserve more consideration, a tad more privacy, and a break from these incessant interruptions!

Honestly, these calls need to be shut down. Most of the time the callers are either clueless or folks who have been tricked into this by some heartless scammers promising them quick cash. Am I even close to the truth? The government seems to barely care or do anything to stop them messing with us, especially those of us who pay taxes or are retired and just want some peace and respect :)

It's about time someone put a stop to these characters! Honestly, the callers are either complete numbskulls or vulnerable individuals lured in by heartless crooks who take advantage of them with empty promises of quick cash. How accurate am I in saying that? Meanwhile, the government seems rather indifferent, barely lifting a finger to curb these nuisances that waste our precious time. We, the taxpayers and the retirees-hardworking folks who should be afforded some respect and a little peace-surely deserve better than this incessant intrusion into our lives!

Got a call from a bloke saying there's an issue with my Windows PC. He talked about some woman named Angelina who supposedly has my IP and can get into my network whenever I go online. He kept telling me to sit at my computer, but I refused. When I asked for his details, he gave me the name David Parker, claimed to be from Online Support in London, and gave a number starting with 020 7137336, though his accent was pretty strong and sounded foreign, maybe Indian or Asian. I told him I'd handle it myself and ended the call.

I got a call from this number earlier today at 1:18pm, and before that on the 29th at around 12:36, the 27th at 10:49, and also on the 23rd at about 2:53pm. They sure don’t give up easily. Luckily, my phone flagged it as a scam right away, so I didn’t even pick up. I decided to look it up here before just blocking it outright. Now I’ve gone ahead and blocked it, so hopefully no more annoying calls from them.

Somebody rang me up claiming there was an issue with my PC. I told them I didn’t own a computer, which seemed to annoy them a lot, and they accused me of calling them untruthful. When I stuck to saying I had no computer, they argued back. I asked if I could speak to a manager, but they just dropped the call. The person sounded like they had an accent from abroad. Tried ringing the number again later, but it just kept ringing with no answer.
