Somebody rang me claiming to be from the UK consumer helpline, saying they were doing a survey for Channel 4. They wanted to ask me a few questions, but I said I wasn’t interested. The person didn’t seem pleased at all and kept insisting it wasn’t personal stuff. Yet, they went on about questions on my job, insurance, accidents, and so on. They said it was just yes or no replies, but strangely, they knew my name. Didn’t like the way they spoke to me one bit.

Got a ring from this number claiming to be with Royal Bank of Scotland, asking me about a swipe card. Since I don’t have one with them, I just cut the call short.
