I received a call from someone claiming to be with the UK Consumer Helpline, stating they were conducting a survey for Channel 4 and wanted to pose a few questions. I politely declined, but the chap on the other end didn’t seem too chuffed about my response. He insisted it wasn’t anything personal, yet proceeded to ask questions regarding my employment status, insurance details, incidents I've had, and so forth. He mentioned it was simply a matter of providing yes or no answers, but oddly enough, he addressed me by my name. I found his approach rather off-putting.

I had a rather suspicious call from this number claiming to be the Royal Bank of Scotland. They were inquiring about a swipe card, but as I don't possess anything of the sort with them, I decided to hang up promptly. Quite odd, if you ask me!
