Today I got called twice, but the second time the number was different. A guy named Alex with a foreign accent rang me, said he was from BT. There was loads of noise in the background. He was trying to say they could sort me out with better service or something like that. Complete scam, cos I’m not even a BT customer.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from BT about some problem with my broadband.

Some dodgy call from a noisy call centre, a bloke with a heavy foreign accent said he was John from BT tech support. He kept hassling me, asking if I was still on the line. Said my internet speed wasn’t up to scratch or sumthin. Seemed dodgy as hell so I just hung up straight away.

I picked up the phone to this number, and there was a whole load of noise in the background. After a moment, I realised it was from the same caller who'd contacted me before - a construction firm promoting Taylor Wimpey houses.
