At the beginning of the conversation, they even asked for my email address to send me the contract particulars, which raised my suspicions. The email address they provided was slightly off-almost resembling Carphone Warehouse but with a peculiar variation, such as carphone(s)wareshouse, and it was uncommon to see an 'S' tacked onto the end of 'carphone.'
