I got a voicemail from a number that’s meant to be from my area saying I had made a £300 payment to Amazon and a £1,100 transfer abroad just today. The woman sounded worried, and honestly, her anxiety got me worried too. I decided not to press the option to talk to the “advisor” because I knew it was some kind of scam. What really gets me is how they use a proper local code - this one’s supposed to be from Weybridge! How do these scammers even pull that off?
