Some woman called saying she was with the telephone preference service and that she'd be able to block all spam calls starting tomorrow. I just said thanks and hung up straight away.

not long ago, someone rang me claiming to be from the telephone preference service, saying they could stop all my annoying calls. they wanted me to verify my name, address, and whether i pay my phone bill by direct debit. then they asked for my card expiry date, saying they already had my info. i told them no and hung up straight away.
