Claimed to be from the EE Network about my existing contract. Mate, I’m actually with O2, not EE. Sounds like it was probably just a dodgy scam call.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, said they were with EE and wanted to talk about an upgrade. But when I asked who they were trying to reach, they couldn’t give a clear answer. Honestly, it felt a bit dodgy, like it could be some kind of scam or fraud.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from EE and was trying to offer an upgrade. Thing is, I only did one a month back. I told him that but he just kept pushing me to upgrade again. Then he started asking how much I pay every month, which is daft coz if he was really from EE, he’d already know that. Got fed up and just ended the call.

There’s a box you can tick on the police fraud site to report silent calls. What really matters is that the number gets logged so the cops can see just how many of these scam calls and messages are going around. Check out the comments below for more info.
