Got one of those calls where the line just goes dead, nothing said. Having a look on here it turns out this scammer pretends to be from BT, saying they need to fix a computer problem. Honestly, the best you can do is either hang up and ignore it or report the caller to the Police or the ICO on 0303123113, making sure you give them as much info as you can.

Got a totally mad call on our work line today, which runs through an ISDN setup. The caller seemed proper confused cause our internet's actually hooked up to our fax number PSTN, a detail they clearly didn’t get. Decided to have a bit of fun with them, just to put a stop to them pestering anyone else who might not handle it as well.

Some folks called me saying my IP got hacked and I gotta get a new one asap. They even had my full name and where I live! Asked if I could let 'em control my computer from afar. I said no way. I could tell right away it was a scam but I just hung about to see what more they'd try. They were quite unfriendly and sounded like they had an Asian accent. Watch out for these scammers!

Just got a call from the same number mentioned here, claiming to be B.T. but they’re not our provider at all. I hung up straight away, looked up the number and found this site. We’ve been getting loads of scam calls, this is the second one today.

Just like others have said, I got this robo call claiming to be BT, telling me to either cancel or keep my internet account with them. Just got a call from these muppets and when I picked up, there was absolute silence on the other end - probably some dodgy scam again.
