Someone called me claiming to be from Virgin Media, but when I mentioned I was signed up with a different provider, they just hung up. I'm pretty convinced the call came from a centre overseas. What really bugs me is how they manage to show a seemingly local UK landline number. Out of curiosity, I tried ringing that number back, but not surprisingly, I got straight to voicemail - except it was full and wouldn’t let me leave a message.

Just got a call with a robotic voice saying my BT service was about to be cut off, but it wasn’t actually from BT, so I just ended the call. Seems like a total scam to me. Watch out for these!

some bloke from india called up sayin my virgin router had problems and that he could fix it on my laptop, but i got suspicious cos we’d just had a few dodgy calls like that recently. he got proper annoyed when i started asking questions though. seemed pretty obvious it was a scam.

Got a voicemail saying something about BT cutting my internet if I don’t ring a certain number today. Problem is, I don’t even use BT for my broadband. Sounds fishy to me.

Got a voicemail supposedly from “BT” sayin my internet would be cut off if I didn’t ring a certain number. I’m not even with BT, so I just ended the call straight away.
