Got a call from someone claiming to be from "windows system" saying there was a problem with my computer. I told them I use a MacBook, so Windows 10 isn’t even on my device. When I asked for more details, I overheard her say to someone else, "I'm just gonna hang up now." So I said that sounded like a smart move and hung up.

We've been inundated with calls from this number on numerous occasions. The voice often comes through with a distinctly Indian accent, sometimes male, sometimes female. They typically assert that our computer is compromised and has allegedly been targeted by hackers, claiming our personal details are vulnerable. They purport to be representatives from the Windows Services department, eager to aid individuals like us in safeguarding against cyber threats. On one occasion, this number even claimed to be reaching out on behalf of our telecommunications provider, TalkTalk. They proceeded to recite our account number and the full address of our organisation, postcode included, with unnerving accuracy. So this woman who said her name was Nancy rang me up, but you could tell straight away she was calling from India. She claimed to be from Windows support, saying there was an issue with my computer. I told her I knew it was a con and she just dropped the call right away. A few years back, someone pretending to be from Microsoft tried the same trick on me, but luckily I caught on before I got scammed.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from "Windows Systems," said they needed to check my registry code (which is the same for every Windows PC, I think). They wanted to install some software to "fix issues" they found, but it all felt dodgy. The caller sounded like they were from India. When I tried ringing the number back, it just wouldn't connect. Definitely a scam, stay clear!
