Got a call from this loud call centre, a lady who said her name was Kelly but her accent was really thick, sounded Asian. She said she was from some life insurance firm, but honestly, I couldn’t catch the name no matter how many times I asked. She somehow knew my name and said she had all my info, though she didn’t even know my birthday. Needless to say, I blocked the number straight away and reported it to Ofcom. Definitely felt like a dodgy life insurance scam.

Had a rather dodgy experience with what seemed to be a life insurance scam. A call came through from someone claiming to be 'Kelly', but her accent suggested otherwise, sounding distinctly Asian. She professed to work for a life insurance firm, though the name of the company was completely garbled and hard to catch, even after I asked her to repeat it a couple of times. While she had my name, it struck me as odd that she didn’t have my date of birth at all. I've since blocked the number and reported the incident to Ofcom. Quite the nuisance, really!

Kept asking who was calling but they refused to say even after I asked a few times.

Got a call and asked straight up which company they were from. Instead of telling me, they just kept trying to get my personal info. When I mentioned I wanted to put in a Subject Access Request, they flat out refused, saying something about scams and that they couldn’t comply. I asked them to confirm my details properly, but they just wouldn’t do it. I know I have the legal right for that SAR, so I was pretty annoyed. Then, suddenly, they just ended the call! No idea why.

Call came through on 25th Sept 2021 at 11:34 in the morning. I just let it ring and hung up, no message left on voicemail or anything. I looked up the number here, and turns out it’s a scam. Added it to my block list now. Cheers to everyone who posted before me!

Got a call about life insurance out of the blue, turned out to be one of those dodgy scams.

I just blocked this number straight away. Had a really pushy woman on the line, trying to chat about my life insurance, even though I clearly said I wasn’t interested and was fine with what I’ve got. She kept talking over me, saying she wasn’t selling anything, but it sounded like a sales pitch to me, then she cut me off. Not sure if anyone else is dealing with this, but I've been getting loads of scam calls recently - like 10 every week - seriously frustrating!
