She then tries to push life insurance on me, like if Fred West's dead then so might you. Me - lol (ends call). Total scam, just don’t bother answering.

Just ended a call with some bloke named Chris from Runcorn. Spent a good 16 minutes chatting while he was pushing insurance on me. When I asked him why he does this job, he simply said 'it's what I do'. Quite a weird experience talking to someone like that - either he genuinely thinks what he’s doing’s legit, or he’s completely clueless about the scam aspect.

Got a call from someone who said they were selling life insurance. They asked how I planned to pay for my funeral, so I said "it won’t bother me since I’ll be dead." They just went quiet then said, "uhhh right, okay then, bye."

I have a feeling this might have been a dodgy call. The chap claimed to be from Clear Compare, a company I've never come across before. He mentioned he was reviewing my life insurance policy, which set off alarm bells for me (likely trying to fish for personal details to pull a fast one). He introduced himself as Ryan Fisher, but his accent was decidedly Indian. If you're going to use a different name, mate, just own your heritage!
