Not long ago, we received a rather unexpected phone call in the evening, right when we were unwinding after a rather taxing day at the office. The caller, who seemed to be amidst a lot of chaos, was insistent on trying to sell us a so-called upgrade. It was difficult to hear over the din in the background. They wanted us to confirm our personal information and security details, then proceeded to request our bank account numbers as the next step! It felt like we were the ones doing all the legwork. Honestly, what’s the point of offering an upgrade if it comes with another 12 to 18-month contract? Quite the underhanded tactics they employ! We politely turned down their rather tempting offer.

We made it clear to the chap on the other end that we're quite irked about these calls since Mum managed to snag an excellent deal.
