Reports on phone number 01926800829
4 yearsToday at around 3pm, I got a call from this number checking if I was alright. I told them I was, and asked who was calling. They claimed to be from the BOILER CARE TEAM representing my energy company. But when I asked a few more questions, they just cut me off. It struck me as odd since my energy supplier has never called me before. Plus, although the number showed as from WARWICK, the caller’s English was really bad and his accent didn’t fit. Just a heads up to be careful with numbers like this, especially for my fellow older folks.BOILER CARE TEAMWARWICK4 yearsThe phone rang and this bloke just launched straight into asking "Who am I speaking to" and the name of someone he wanted, no hello or anything. I asked the same back, gave my name, and then he just hung up right away. Luckily I was around to pick up for my elderly mum, she's 83 and not feeling great. I tried dialing back to find out what was up, but odd thing is, the line would pick up then instantly go dead, like it was busy. The guy sounded like he had an accent from India or nearby somewhere.4 yearsIt showed something like a energy team when it rang but ended really fast, so I think it was one of those scam calls. I’m just not gonna pick up if it shows up again.4 yearsGot a call from someone with a foreign accent who said they were from "our energy provider." They started on about government payments we supposedly owed, then weirdly asked if we had a will set up. It seemed like a total scam, so I hung up and blocked the number straight away!4 yearsGot a call claiming to be from Scottish Power, saying they wanted to help me save on bills. They already had my name and where I live, which was a bit creepy. Then they asked if I owned the house and if anyone had power of attorney over me in case something happened. Didn’t feel right at all, so I just ended the call.Scottish Power4 yearsSomeone rang me saying they were from Octopus Energy, but then started asking all sorts about wills, protecting assets and whether I had power of attorney. Bit fishy if you ask me.Octopus Energy4 yearsThey said they wer from the energy group, ringing up for big firms like EDF and Scottish Power or some, claiming they could cut down my bills.EDFScottish Power4 yearsThey said they were offering boiler insurance but I just hung up on them.4 yearsScam alert! Really dodgy call, watch out.4 yearsI missed a call from this number and when I rang back, the voice on the other end seemed dodgy, like it was just a recorded message trying to connect me to some sort of advisor. Since I don’t know anyone in Warwick and definitely don’t need advice from anyone suspicious, I just ended the call straight away.WarwickSubmit Your Own Report (01926 800829)
