Watch out, this is definitely a scam. They say they're QDR solicitors but they're not connected to them at all. The real QDR solicitors phone number is very similar but it finishes with a '1', not a '3'. Stay alert!

I came across a company named QDRS, and they’re actually a genuine outfit. I’m quite proactive when it comes to dealing with these unwanted phone calls, always trying to find out what's really going on. From what I gathered, QDRS works under a solicitors firm dealing with debt recovery. They handle cases where folks owe money - like doorstep loans that haven’t been paid - and that debt gets passed around to different agencies until QDRS ends up chasing it. Their job is basically to negotiate some sort of deal or settlement with the debtor.

I got a letter about an unpaid fuel charge which was a complete fake. The phone number on that very official sounding bill was what I called. I've had this happen a few times now so I made sure to look into it. The letter always includes my car reg and the exact date and location where I filled up, so I have no idea how they manage to get that info.

I wouldn't trust this number at all, it seems to be used mostly by some so-called legit businesses that are just trying to scam people out of their money over the phone. Really surprised the police haven't looked into this lot yet. Your service is brilliant for folks like us; it helps protect those who are more likely to fall victim. I had a letter from them beforehand, so I called to clear things up and got everything sorted. So it’s definitely not a scam, just a legit solicitor. I’d say this number is SAFE.

QDR sols keep messaging me but its not meant for me, they’ve got the wrong number. This has been happening for nearly a decade with different debt collectors. Some of them are real people and when I tell them its the wrong number they stop texting, but once it gets passed on, the texts start again. With QDR though, you cant block their number properly (some weird glitch). It shows as blocked but when you check later, it’s unblocked again!!!

I got a few calls from Qdr solicitors about some money owed on a closed gas and electric account. Once I explained things, they were pretty reasonable and understanding. They’re a legit debt collection company with all their business info in order, but they do keep calling quite a lot.

Got a call from QDR solicitors, they asked for me by name. They wanted me to verify the first line of my address and my postcode but then said it didn’t match or something, so I just said alright and hung up.

They phoned me and we had a chat, they said if I didn’t clear the debt, their bloke would have to come round. I told them to send the toughest guy they have, the one with scars and gaps in his teeth. Also told them to bring his biggest hammer. My reliable 6lb club hammer is still chilling by the front door.

So this woman claimed to be from a law firm and said she needed to talk about a "personal issue," but before she elaborated, she asked me to confirm the first part of my address. I wasn't having any of it and declined. I told her that if it was really important, she should send it in writing. The next day, she sent me a text with a link to click on. I never click on links unless I’m sure who they’re from, so I just deleted it.

Beware of this fraudulent organisation pretending to be legal representatives! They have been going around saying that folks owe money due to unauthorised parking, and are scaring vulnerable individuals into coughing up cash to escape court action. It’s quite shocking!

Got a text from this name telling me to visit their website and enter a reference number. I looked it up and the site looks quite professional, but here’s the strange part - they’re supposedly about parking fines or something, but I don’t own a car and never have! The message said they’ve tried to reach me, but I don’t have any missed calls from them. So honestly, I’m pretty confused by this whole thing. Got a letter asking for cash, said it was for some fuel we bought in Surrey, but we’re in North Wales and never been anywhere near Surrey. The note was just a photocopy with no actual signature. We’ve been advised to get in touch with the police fraud unit. These con artists are ridiculous, hope the cops catch them soon. My missus was really stressed out about it. Honestly, I wish these scammers would just vanish completely. If anyone needs tips on dealing with these muppets, just ask me!

These solicitors keep hassling me about going a bit over the hour limit at the KFC car park in Peterborough last February. I replied to Civil Enforcement, who sent the first letter, explaining I was a proper customer just eating lunch there. KFC's customer support has been really helpful so far, and I plan to drop them another note about this soon.

Got a call from a debt collection firm. They must have got my details off the DVLA or something. It was about a parking notice, not a fine, and it happened on private property. Their charges are added onto the amount I owe. They’re gonna keep chasing me to try and get their money back.

I got a call about a parking fine from some private land company asking me to pay up. I just ignored it like Martin Lewis recommends. They said they have my email, phone number and address from the DVLA, but I know the DVLA only has my address, so not sure where they got the other details. I challenged them about data protection and said it’s dodgy for them to hold all that info. They really only needed one contact detail, tops. I’ve asked their data officer for a letter explaining why they’re keeping my info without right. I’m not holding my breath for a reply though!

They called me claiming to be solicitors and asked for my name plus the first part of my address. I saw Martin Lewis explain it all - these firms say they'll take you to court, say you're responsible for their fees, warn about CCJs and want loads of cash for parking! But really, it's none of that. The ‘fine’ is just a bill (basically a payment ask) and they won’t spend hundreds chasing a £100 charge. Anyway, this number is just plain pestering.

Got a call claiming I didn’t pay for petrol!! This actually happened to me before, but the letter had the station, time, and pump details. This time they’re just saying I owe £28.05!
