I’m getting loads of annoying calls from Coop Energy because my ex owes them money but refuses to take my phone number off the account. We haven’t spoken for ages and I have no clue how they expect him to delete my number. It’s just me stuck answering these irritating calls every single day.

Never hand over your personal details to anyone saying they're debt collectors. A proper agency already gets that info from the company you owe money to.

I actually have an outstanding balance with Coop Electric, so this fits with what others have said. Sounds like it’s their debt recovery team calling.

Got six calls over the last day, couldn’t get anyone to pick up. One of them was dead in the middle of the night, like 2.15am! Proper frustrating.

They kept ringing me about 4 or 5 times every day. Had to block them eventually.

Could anyone shed some light on which company this might be or give me any insight?

Oddly enough, they never leave a voicemail; it’s just a relentless barrage of calls. I've already reported them to the TPS and OFCom, yet the nuisance continues. I suspect that because I've picked up their calls a few times, they think they’ve got a live one. If you value your peace, steer clear of this lot - it's definitely a scam.

Be wary, this is definitely a dodgy call! I'd recommend blocking it - the number claims to be from Co op Warwick.

After a quick check of my records, I confirmed that I owe absolutely nothing to Co-operative Energy, and my updated address is indeed on file. I was asked for my name and to verify my address, but I wasn't keen on sharing that info. The chap on the phone had quite a noticeable accent!

Gave me a bell claiming to be from an energy firm, but their system was playing up, so they couldn’t carry on with the conversation. Total hassle! I won’t be picking up from them again-sorted them straight into the blocked numbers list. What a farce!
