I received a rather peculiar call claiming to be related to some medical research. It’s left me scratching my head, especially considering I’ve only just switched my landline due to incessant calls from an unknown number at all hours! To add to my bewilderment, my number is supposed to be ex-directory. How on earth did they manage to acquire my details? I've been quite diligent, sharing my number only with one family member and absolutely not with my GP or any hospital. When I dialled 1472, I found the number noted, yet upon attempting to call it back, I was met with the frustrating message that the number couldn’t be recognised. Quite the mystery, isn’t it?

I received a call from someone with a foreign accent who was quite evasive about their name. They insisted on conducting a survey related to health and safety matters. It all felt a bit dodgy, I must say!
