Got a call from some technical team claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying they’d spotted errors on my router over the past few weeks. The bloke had this strong Indian accent, which felt a bit off, and as far I know, TalkTalk hasn’t got any support offices in Warwick, UK. They said they monitor your router’s performance, but I’m pretty sure that’s not true. If you want to test your router properly, check out Steve Gibson’s website - he’s a bit of a legend who’s tested loads of routers globally, way back in 2012. The site is called Shields Up or something like that [#Jgrci###].

Got a ring from this number earlier claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying they had to sort out my computer. Thing is, my computer’s fine and if anything was wrong I’d handle it myself. I don’t take help from phone calls unless I’ve reached out first. So I just hung up, made myself a cuppa, and when I tried calling back, they’d vanished. Blocked the number straight away.
