They said they were from First Utility and asked to speak to me but hung up before I could even say anything. I think they have a list of numbers to call, and just ringing briefly counts as a call made. Proper dodgy if you ask me!!!

Got a call from this number saying my contract was about to expire (it actually doesn’t end for another four months) and he wanted to chat about a new deal. I told him I sort all that online, thanks, and he just said “Alright then” and hung up. After reading some of the comments here, I got a bit wary, so I logged into my FU account and asked their chatbot if 01926265010 was a legit number they use. It said yes. So doesn’t seem to be a scam, but it’s the first time FU have annoyed me a bit, so they’ve lost some brownie points from me.

Just like others have said, First Utility phoned me to pitch a new contract cause mine's supposed to finish soon - mine actually runs till mid 2019! They mentioned a monthly deal, called it a 'special rate' but it was way more expensive than what I'm paying now. You can find way cheaper fixed rate plans on sites like Uswitch. Best to just give these calls a miss and sort a better deal online.
