3 yearsGot a call from a number I didn't recognise and just blocked it thinking it was spam.3 yearsThey rang me up and asked if I owned my place. I said I was just renting, and they quickly said goodbye after that.3 yearsGot a call from some woman asking if I owned my house and whether my heating was over 12 years old. She claimed I could get some CO4 funding from the government to replace the whole system. I pressed her for a website, but all she went on about was the ‘CO4 government scheme’. In the background, I could hear loads of shouting and people arguing on other calls, which was weird. When I insisted on a website, she finally gave me greenenergygrant.co.uk. Checked it out and the site was just a blank page saying ‘under construction’. Feels like they just snapped up the domain and never bothered to build an actual site. The more I asked who she was and what company she worked for, the more defensive she got, then she said she’d put me through to her ‘senior manager’. The next woman was really aggressive, practically yelling, “Do you want the boiler or not?” I told her there was no need to be rude, and she told me it was because I was asking too many questions and that they had all the power, not me. In the end, I just left the line open and said I knew it was a scam. She ended the call with a rude “F off”. Definitely keep your guard up if you get a call like this!CO43 yearsGot a call about some green energy deal, I told them nah, not interested, and just ended the call.3 yearsIt rang but when I picked up, no one said a word.
