5 yearsDefinitely a con artist.5 yearsSomebody phoned me and they already had my full name and where I live. They were asking for over £200 for some anti-bullying thing at schools. They claimed they'd email me a bill for £200. I don’t remember ever signing up for anything like that, so I just ended the call, blocked their number, and made a report about it. Definitely a sneaky scam try.5 yearsTotal scam, got a call about some school bullying project, asking for £249. Absolutely dodgy! Same story as others have mentioned.5 yearsToday around half past one, a woman rang our office and asked specifically for our Owner. I told her he wasn’t available, and without a word, she just hung up on me. How rude!5 yearsi just pick up and then immediately end the call, no point in waiting around.5 yearsThey ring up basically every day, sometimes loads of times during the night, asking for the owner and then going on about electricity bills. I've told them plenty of times to stop because it’s a business line and it’s putting off actual customers, but they just keep banging on. When I asked which company they were from, they wouldn’t say a word. I even tried ringing the number back to get some idea, but it doesn't even connect to anything. The bloke on the end is really cheeky and quite rude too.5 yearsI asked if I could speak with a manager, but when they said they weren’t around, they just hung up on me.5 yearsSo they ring up saying you've signed up for some school sponsorship and now they've got funds to give you, but you need to sort an invoice first. It’s not the regular Indian call centre nonsense - these ones speak proper British and start by thanking you for your generosity. This was the third time I got the call, and this round I totally lost it with a woman who said she was Louise Green, a primary school Safety Officer. Proper scumbags.YorkshireLouise Green5 yearsToday I got a phone call from someone who oddly enough already knew my name. They chatted quite nicely about some anti-bullying campaign, saying there were booklets printed with our company name as a sponsor at the back. They asked which schools we wanted the booklets sent to, and even mentioned they'd leave a 5-star review online for us. The caller promised to send a certificate for us to display and mail us a copy of the booklet too. They knew where our business was located. Then suddenly they said they'd be sending an invoice for £299. That’s when we told them we never agreed to any payment or involvement in this. The woman got defensive and said all calls are recorded, and that someone would ring us back with the recordings. This feels like a straight-up scam.Submit Your Own Report (01925 506998)
