4 yearsYet another con artist!4 yearsI received a rather unsettling call from someone who had my complete name and address. They were trying to pressure me into coughing up over 200 quid for some so-called anti-bullying initiative in schools. The caller mentioned they’d send me a bill for the £200, but I was completely baffled, as I’d never consented to any such project. Without wasting a moment, I terminated the call, blocked their number, and reported the whole nonsense. Quite the cheeky scam, if you ask me!4 yearsWhat a complete scam! I received a call that echoed the comments I've seen elsewhere. They were asking for £249.00 to supposedly support a bullying initiative in schools! Avoid at all costs!4 yearsEarlier today, around half past one, a woman rang our office looking for our Owner specifically. I informed her that he was unavailable, and just like that, she hung up on me. Quite the lovely interaction, wouldn’t you say?4 yearsi just pick up and then immediately end the call, no point in waiting around.4 yearsThey ring up basically every day, sometimes loads of times during the night, asking for the owner and then going on about electricity bills. I've told them plenty of times to stop because it’s a business line and it’s putting off actual customers, but they just keep banging on. When I asked which company they were from, they wouldn’t say a word. I even tried ringing the number back to get some idea, but it doesn't even connect to anything. The bloke on the end is really cheeky and quite rude too.4 yearsI tried to get in touch with a Director, but when I was told they were unavailable, the person on the other end abruptly hung up on me. Quite rude, really!4 yearsI've received a few calls lately where they assert that I've signed up for a sponsorship arrangement with various schools, and now they’re keen on sending me some funds. However, there's a catch - I need to settle an invoice first. This isn’t your typical murky Indian call centre scam; the callers speak like they’ve just had tea in Yorkshire and greet you with expressions of gratitude for your supposed generosity. This marks the third occasion I've been interrupted by such a call, and today, I finally snapped at a woman who identified herself as Louise Green, a so-called Safety Officer from a primary school. It’s utterly preposterous and quite frankly, a disgrace.YorkshireLouise Green4 yearsI received an unexpected phone call today, and surprisingly, the caller addressed me by name. They provided quite a bit of information regarding a campaign aimed at addressing bullying in schools. Everything sounded rather pleasant, as they mentioned that booklets for every child had been produced, featuring our company’s name as a sponsor on the back. They inquired about which schools we would like these booklets sent to and even stated they would leave us a glowing 5-star review online. They claimed they would send us a certificate suitable for display and that a copy of the booklet would be mailed to us. What raised my eyebrows was that they seemed to already have our business address. Then, they casually informed us that we would be receiving an invoice for £299. At this point, we made it clear that we had no memory of consenting to any payment or participating in this initiative. The woman assured us that all calls are recorded and that someone would get back to us with the recording. Quite frankly, this feels very much like a scam.Submit Your Own Report (01925 506998)
