It's not merely a call to Warrington; we’re situated all the way up in North Scotland and this number popped up out of the blue! I had no clue where it was from, which is why I've left this note. The last few weeks have been relentless with telemarketing calls, so I’ve taken to ignoring the landline during the day. Folks who genuinely need to reach us know our mobile numbers and can ring those instead. Honestly, it's high time action was taken against this incessant nuisance of cold calling!

I find myself either cutting the call short or picking up and falling silent, leaving them in limbo. Yet, despite my efforts, they seem relentless in their attempts to reach me.

Apparently, there's been some chatter about a so-called money-saving initiative in Warrington, UK, related to claimed reductions in phone prices. However, their website lacks substantial information. Personally, I’d steer clear of this one if I were you.

Received a call from this number around 5 PM on the 1st of February, 2011. There wasn’t any message left, but there was quite a bit of background chatter. Seems like it’s not only local to Warrington, since we’re in Worthing, West Sussex.

As pensioners, we tend to be cautious when it comes to enticing deals, but ever since we signed up, we’ve experienced nothing but excellent service. We enjoy unlimited calls and phenomenal broadband speeds. A particularly knowledgeable chap named Ste assisted us during the transition, making it all very straightforward. On top of that, we're now receiving 35% off our beloved high street stores. Absolutely marvellous!

It's amusing how some folks truly buy into that old wives' tale about retirees and the notion that random strangers come bearing presents. Honestly, if that were the case, you might as well expect to see pigs soaring through the sky!

If you're looking for a swift solution, why not come up with a quirky moniker for that number? Pop it into your phone’s contacts with a whimsical twist to give it some character! Then, have a word with everyone at home to just brush it off if it rings. I mean, a smart device could easily pick up on these, couldn't it? It seems the phone doesn’t currently have the smarts to distinguish them outright, but I can imagine a trusty old computer might have a better go at sorting the chaff from the wheat. Let's just keep those pesky calls at bay!

I've just had a rather peculiar experience with a phone number that left a rather cryptic message on my answering machine. It merely said, "Dial 0845 026 7895," and not a word more! My Panasonic phone, though it wasn’t anything fancy-just around fifty quid-has a feature that allows me to block numbers that show up on the Caller ID. It automatically cuts them off whenever they try to reach me, making it so I don’t even have to pick up. I'm in the process of adding both 01925401700 and 0845 026 7895 to my block list as we speak!

I’ve been inundated with calls from folks trying to pitch their phone and broadband deals. They simply won’t accept a polite decline and don’t provide any names of the company’s higher-ups. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

After a quick 1471 check to confirm the number, I thought it wise to investigate further. The chap on the other end was incredibly condescending, insisting that he’d never heard of the Telephone Preference Service! Quite bizarre, to say the least!

I received an automated phone call claiming, "This is a telesales call - if you'd prefer not to respond, simply hang up; but if you wish to engage, please ring 08450267895." According to another dubious caller tracking site, the culprit appears to be Money Saver Telecom (www.moneysavertelecom.com), and the mentioned 0845 number is linked to their Customer Service. Given that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), I’ve begun lodging complaints against this company via tpsonline.org.uk, deeming their calls a nuisance. The information on their website states, "TPS... cannot prevent pre-recorded calls... (Nevertheless) EU regulations stipulate that marketers must secure prior consent from the recipient before initiating such calls. Should you... not have given prior approval and can identify the organisation responsible for the call, you are entitled to lodge a complaint directly with the Information Commissioner's Office at www.ico.gov.uk." The ICO's website (search for "Complaints") requires the downloading of a Word complaint form, which you must then attach to an email. I'm sharing these details because, regrettably, I’m currently unable to send attachments via email. However, I'm hopeful that others who can will step up and report these rule-breakers, helping to shut them down for good.

We’re situated in Warrington and picked up the call since it appeared to be from a local number. A chap with a Scouse accent was on the line, asking if we were aware of being overcharged by BT for our phone service. It was exceedingly loud on their end, making it rather difficult to hear. We replied that we weren’t aware of any such issue, and he launched into a pitch for a £10 weekly deal. However, as soon as he started asking for our bank details, we made it clear we had no intention of moving forward. “So, you’re content being overcharged, then?” he queried. When we answered affirmatively, he seemed to accept our response without any further pressure.
