This daft bloke has tried ringing me twice today, but lucky for me, BT Call Guardian stopped the calls again. I've already blocked this number last year, so no idea why they keep bothering. Honestly, if you haven't got a phone with this kind of blocking feature, get one - it's been a lifesaver here. I actually get a bit of satisfaction seeing all the dodgy calls caught before they reach me. Even got the same phones for my mum and dad, and since then, those annoying nuisance calls have completely stopped for them too.

As others have pointed out regarding similar phone numbers, this one belongs to a known fraudster named Stuart Wright, residing at 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF. It’s hardly surprising he occupies such a spacious abode considering his dubious activities in deceiving folks!

I received a call earlier today from someone who initially enquired about my well-being in a thick Asian accent, only to then abruptly switch to a Birmingham twang! They were keen to chat about my life insurance policy, which struck me as odd. I questioned why I would want to disclose anything personal to a stranger over the phone whom I’ve never laid eyes on. It didn’t sit right with me, so I swiftly hung up and made sure to block the number!

You should always look up a number before ringing back if you don’t recognise it. Calling straight away without checking can land you in hot water. It’s really not a smart move. These callers are nothing but scammers trying to cause trouble. They’re definitely up to no good.

Got a call from someone saying they're from the Life Insurance review team, claiming they partner with big names like Aviva, Vitality and others. When I asked which company exactly they were with, they just kept saying they work alongside Aviva and Axa. I asked again what their company name was, and all they said was "we're a broker." Then, just as I pressed for a straight answer, the line went dead. Bit strange if you ask me.

At first, I got a bit freaked out cause they said my entire name, then they started asking about life insurance. I’m pretty sure this number is a scam trying to sell life insurance. Honestly, just hang up straight away, don’t stress about it, and just carry on with your day like nothing happened! :)

Rung up by someone with such a thick accent that I struggled to make sense of her questions. When I requested her to go over it again, she raised her voice instead! I had to point out that it wasn’t about my hearing, but rather her heavy accent. In response, she began to mimic various accents and said it wasn't her concern if I couldn't grasp what she was saying. It turned out she was trying to peddle life insurance.

Got another call from some Indian scammers trying to sell me life insurance. They kept calling me Duke, which isn’t even my name - just a made-up one I throw out to these fraudsters. Typical!

Got a missed call from this number and like others mentioned, they appeared to know my name. I tried ringing them back but whenever I asked who they were, the responses ranged from quite rude to them just hanging up on me. So I switched things up a bit - when they said my name, I denied it and gave them a made-up one to confuse them. They actually said sorry after that, so I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Saw I got a missed call from this number so I rang back. A woman picked up straight away, sounded like she might have a South African accent, but I’m not too sure. She already knew my name and asked if it was me. I didn’t say yes and asked who she was and what her company does. Then she started pitching some life insurance deal. I told her nicely to remove me from their list and mentioned that unsolicited calls like this aren’t legal. Right after that, she hung up on me. Now I’m worried this was some sneaky way to verify my identity for a bigger identity theft scam.

The caller had a really thick Indian accent that was nearly impossible to follow. He seemed to know my name and started talking about life insurance and stuff I couldn't make heads or tails of. He asked some pretty personal stuff like how old I was, if I had a mortgage, and about my kids. But when I kept pushing to find out why he wanted that info, he just hung up. Then he rang again from another number, but I didn’t answer - felt like a scam for sure.

Had a bloke on the phone with a thick, tough-to-get Indian accent that was nearly impossible to follow. He mentioned my name and started chatting about life insurance and stuff I just couldn’t make out. He began asking me all sorts of personal things like my age, if I had a mortgage and how many kids I’ve got. When I kept asking what he was actually calling about, he suddenly hung up. Then he rang again from another number, but I didn’t bother picking up since it felt dodgy and like a scam.

Got a missed call from this number and decided to ring back. A woman picked up - sounded like she might have been South African, though I could be wrong about the accent. She immediately called me by name and asked if it was me. I didn’t say yes, instead I asked who she was and what her company did. She then tried to pitch life insurance. I told her nicely to remove me from their calling list and mentioned that cold calling is illegal. Right after, she just cut me off. Honestly, I’m worried this was less about insurance and more about checking my identity for some kind of scam.

I picked up a call from this number, and there was a bloke talking in a loud call centre background who already had my full name. I ended the call and tried ringing back, and straight away a lady answered, also knowing my name. She said she was doing a life insurance check for firms like Aviva and Scottish Widows, but apart from my name, they didn’t have any other info about me. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam to me.

I received a call from the Life Assurance Review Team, and I made it clear that I'm not keen on any additional insurance. The caller insisted she wasn't trying to sell anything, but I felt the conversation was a bit pointless. I said my piece and hung up. It was clearly just another call from a scam centre based overseas, so I’ve added them to my blocked list. Cheers!

I received a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent and couldn't make heads or tails of what he was saying, aside from the mention of 'survey'. The number was unfamiliar to me. Honestly, it's been a right nuisance lately; this week alone I've been bombarded with scam calls, one even about omicron - utterly ridiculous! I've decided to block all unknown numbers at this point.

Got a call today from a lady who was really pushy about doing a 'review'. She mentioned it was about insurance, but wouldn't say what kind. When I asked if it was health, home, or general insurance, she just brushed me off and said I should just answer the questions. I told her I needed a good reason before I’d do that, then she started swearing and cut the call. Proper rude behaviour.

I had quite the encounter with an exceedingly pushy lady who insisted on conducting an annual review. When I inquired about the subject, she curtly replied, "insurance." I probed further with a request for specifics, but she snapped back, "Let me ask the questions." I stood my ground, expressing my reluctance to divulge any details without a clearer context. Despite my reservations, she persisted in her aggressive manner, prompting me to end the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I received a rather pushy phone call from a woman who wanted to discuss some sort of 'review'. When I inquired further about what kind of review it was, she mentioned something about checking our insurance coverage. I then asked if this pertained to general, medical, or travel insurance, but she snapped back that I should let her lead the questioning. That's when I decided to end the call.

I received a call from someone claiming to be looking over my life insurance policy, but then the conversation took an odd turn. She began probing about the details of my mortgage-how much I'm shelling out each month and the remaining term on it. It felt quite intrusive, and I wasn't at all comfortable disclosing such personal financial information. So, I decided to end the call.

Got a nasty phone call the other day and the bloke had the nerve to jab at me about not being married yet at my age. What creeped me out was he knew my last name. This guy called me saying I needed to check my life insurance, which I actually don't even have. Somehow he had my name and number even though I'm ex-directory and signed up to the TPS. Got a call about life insurance, but the line was awful - barely caught a word. They already had my name and all that. These calls are pure hassle, nothing but a nuisance. I always make sure to report them because they're not just annoying, they're risky. They keep calling, targeting older folks who might be more easily fooled (I'm old myself, but not quite vulnerable… at least I hope not!). Such persistent pestering is not only intrusive, it's downright dangerous. They really need to be put an end to.
