Keeps ringing and they said the person has passed away but still keeps calling.

Energy Awareness Team kept ringing me non-stop, 3 times in just a couple of days. When I asked to be taken off their list, the bloke said, "You signed up for promos so we can’t remove ya, but since you’re not getting it, honestly, I don’t give a damn!" Then he just ended the call. No idea who he was, sounded Welsh and was a guy.

Got a call from a bloke named James. Told him I’m on the TPS and he shouldn’t be ringing, but he said since they weren't selling anything, they’re allowed to buy numbers and call anyway. Seems like an unwanted call to me. He kept asking repeatedly what kind of boiler I have, going on about gas being better 'cause it’s got lower emissions (felt like he was trying to sell something!). Didn’t give him the info, just said a few times there’s no gas in our village. After he kept pestering me, I just ended the call. Proper stubborn!

Seems like this company only just caught wind of these reviews. Clearly, the team reckon they can trick folks by calling TPS registered numbers illegally - those positive comments are not convincing anyone. Who’d go looking up a number after getting their ‘magical’ boiler fitted and then rave about how great it is?

Got a call from a guy called Jeff about government funding for gas installation. Told him I wasn’t interested and he started telling me I didn’t care about the environment. So I asked him how he heated his house and what kind of car he drove, and he got really rude. Wouldn't give his full name, claimed it was illegal to ask, so I told him it was illegal to keep bothering me. Mentioned my number’s on the TPS list but he just said he worked for the government - never proved it! Honestly, such an unpleasant bloke. I've made complaints to his number and to TPS.

I got a call from some bloke named Geoff who was really rude! He said he was from the government but couldn’t show me any proof. He kept saying I needed a new boiler or else I’d be fined, which sounded proper dodgy to me. He also tried telling me Destiny is a good game and the Samsung Galaxy is a great phone. Nah mate, both of them are rubbish if you ask me!

I got a call from this number but couldn’t catch the firm’s name. When I asked the bloke to say it again, he got all annoyed and refused to repeat it. Then he started telling me there’s no gas in my house. After that, he was pretty rude and just hung up on me. The way he acted makes me think it’s probably some kind of scam.

They said they were from The Energy Awareness team and told me I was breaking the law - specifically the Energy Obligation Act 2017, ECO2T. Thing is, ECO2T is meant for big energy suppliers, not us customers. It’s part of a push to get those suppliers to fund energy-saving projects for homes. Ofgem even created a marketplace where the suppliers can sell their obligations to other companies who actually carry out the work in people’s homes. I guess those companies must now make the investments, which, by the way, homeowners end up paying for too.

They insisted that I HAD TO reply due to some recent government regulations, threatening that failure to do so would lead to an endless barrage of calls. I requested they send me an email regarding the legislation, and I would review it at my leisure to determine if a response was necessary. The tone was unnervingly pushy, and I sensed something was off, so I decided to look up the number online. It certainly seemed fishy, so I’ve blocked it straight away. I strongly urge others to report this matter to the police or OFCOM for further investigation.
