01925 321332 - The person said they were ringing from Gladstone Brookes in Cheshire and gave me their full address when I asked. But, when I quizzed him about what shop or place was next door to Gladstone Brookes, he said he hadn’t noticed. I pointed out he must walk past it every day to get to work. He nearly chuckled then admitted he’s actually based in South Africa doing calls for Gladstone Brookes. Not sure if that’s true or not? Their website states they never cold call, so I reckon it was a scam. Watch out!

Received a phone call from a chap with an Asian accent, purporting to be associated with Gladstone Brooks solicitors where we've previously engaged their services. I have my suspicions it was a con, as he was probing for personal information like my date of birth. When I queried his motives for needing such information, he mentioned it was for 'security purposes.' I insisted he put everything in writing since he wouldn't disclose what he was calling about without me answering his so-called 'security' questions. A bit dodgy if you ask me, especially as it was such an unexpected call. Grateful to say I've realised it’s likely a scam!

Got a call from someone asking about my partner, but they didn’t explain why they were using my phone number. I told my partner to have a look at his emails, but there was nothing suspicious there. He did have some texts with a link that seemed legit, but I got worried when they asked for his date of birth. I searched the number on Google and found out it was a scam, so I advised my partner to tell the caller to send an email instead. They said they'd get back in a couple of weeks.
