This seems like a UK area code and number but turns out its a call centre based in Cape Town, South Africa. They said they know your home address and called themselves Gladstone Brooks. They try to push Life Insurance and want to put you through to a firm called FPL over there. I just ended the call right then.

I've had this number ring me a few times but never picked up. I don't know anyone from Warrington and they never left any voicemail. Being careful, a mate suggested I search the number online before calling back - and honestly, I'm happy I listened! Cheers for this site - it's great to have somewhere to see what others say before getting caught in some dodgy scam!

This number rang me but the person just dropped the call when I picked up. My other half got a call from them too, saying they were from Gladstone Brookes. He told them he was busy and would call back later. When he got in touch with Gladstone Brookes about his current claim, they said they hadn’t tried to call him at all. Some bloke said he was from Gladstone Brookes and called my husband, but he told him to get hold of me since he was at work. Proper sales chat about life insurance. I asked him to call back later cos I was caught off guard. Gladstone Brookes don’t deal with life insurance as far as I know, so it seemed a bit dodgy. This number belongs to a car mechanic and honestly, one of the nicest people I’ve come across! I can’t see how anyone would say he was harassing or dangerous. He actually popped over to help me when my brakes weren’t working. He was at the pub which was shut, but he left me this number to ring him Monday morning and sort an appointment. Luckily I was near home so I managed to drive back safely!
