Honestly, I lost my temper today, probably not very polite, but it didn’t change a thing. I’ve tried everything, even dialled 1572 and blocked the number, but they still manage to get through. Seems like 1572 does nothing against them. Who knows how to actually stop these calls?

Got a call about a minute after submitting an enquiry through the BT website. They couldn’t sort out my issue but connected me to another expert firm instead. Both the people I spoke with were really professional and I checked both companies on Companies House and Endole. They didn’t ask for any payment details, just said they’d send me some info by post. Seems legit to me.

Some bloke named Michael rang up claiming he had a query from my missus, which isn’t true at all. He even said he’ll keep ringing until she says otherwise because of some Data Protection law. Only answer calls if you actually made an enquiry. Loads of people here are chatting nonsense when they say they didn’t ask for a call. Saying "not interested" doesn’t cut it. You’ve got to be firm and say "Please do not call this number again," then the calls should stop. Also, if you’re not the person who made the original enquiry, telling them to quit calling won’t work because of data protection rules - they need to hear it from the person who actually signed up. You can’t make them stop on someone else’s behalf. Honestly, blame the person who put their details out there.
